I was trained in Systemic Marriage and Family therapy and I view most of life’s difficulties as relationally based, whether in your relationship to friends and family, to your spouse, to yourself, or to God.
Therapy is often hard work. Sometimes it feels worse before it feels better. Growing and changing ourselves can be painful as we face old wounds, choose new behaviors, and realign our relationships. It’s your journey, I won’t tell you how to walk it. My job is to walk with you through your pain and celebrate with you in your growth, to provide tools and insights that can help along the way, and to do this with the utmost respect for you.
It is important that you know that our work together is private. I will keep all elements of our work strictly confidential, to the extent permitted by the Ohio Law; I must break your privacy only if I suspect a child is being abused, if I believe you are a serious threat to your own safety or the safety of another, or if I receive a court order from a judge. Aside from these exceptions, I will always need your written permission to release any information about you.
